A new COVID-19 dashboard is available from a NH company based in Exeter. This dashboard has great graphics and several links to other relevant sites. Chris Dowd of Stratus Mobile GIS  tries to update it ASAP when DHHS publishes their data.

Concord, NH – Today, Governor Chris Sununu sent a letter to Senate President Donna Soucy and House Speaker Steve Shurtleff outlining the formation of the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery (GOFERR). This office will be similar to Governor John Lynch’s New Hampshire Office of Economic Stimulus.

“Unlike the 2009 stimulus investment process that used the budget to ensure legislative input, the urgency and timing of this crisis does not allow for that course of action,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “We are creating a bipartisan Legislative Advisory Board within GOFERR to ensure transparency and input to the process. It is important that this process has as much accountability, transparency, and integrity as possible, and I look forward to having legislative leadership advise this critically important office.”

GOFERR will be charged with the investment and oversight of COVID19 relief and stimulus funds provided to New Hampshire by the federal government. The office will manage the accounting, auditing, legal, and IT requirements surrounding these investments and will ensure transparency and accountability metrics to the citizens of New Hampshire for all relief and stimulus efforts.

NH DHHS COVID-19 Update – April 6, 2020 

On Monday, April 6, 2020, DHHS announced 46 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 715 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several of the new cases are still under investigation. Of those with complete information, there are three females and one male under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 54% being female and 37% being male. The new cases reside in Rockingham (15), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (4), Merrimack (6), Strafford (2), Cheshire (2), and Belknap (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (11) and Nashua (4). The county of residence is being determined for one new case.

Hospitalizations

 

Nine new COVID-19-related hospitalizations were reported; thus far, 103 (14%) of the 715 positive cases have been hospitalized.

Community Based Transmission

Eighteen of the new cases have no identified risk factors. Communitybased transmission continues to increase in the State and has been identified in all counties with cases. Most of the remaining cases have either had travel to domestic or international locations or have had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.

 

Total number of cases with no identified risk factors is now more than 267, which is 37% of total positive tests. More than one out of three positive tests are community spread, with no identified risk factors.

Deaths

 

There were no additional deaths announced in yesterday’s report. New Hampshire’s total deaths related to COVID-19 stands at 9.
