NH DHHS COVID-19 Update – July 8th, 2020

On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, DHHS announced 20 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 5,952 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are five individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 40% being female and 60% being male. The new cases reside in Rockingham (6), Grafton (2), Belknap (1), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (1), Merrimack (1), and Strafford (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (5) and Nashua (3).

Hospitalizations

One new hospitalized case was identified for a total of 578 (10%) of 5,952 cases.

Community Based Transmission

Six of the new cases have no identified risk factors.

Deaths

DHHS has also announced two additional deaths related to COVID-19.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, DHHS announced 19 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 5,932 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are two individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 68% being female and 32% being male. The new cases reside in Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (3), Rockingham (3) Belknap (1), Carroll (1), Cheshire (1), and Merrimack (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (7) and Nashua (2).

Hospitalizations

Three new hospitalized cases were identified for a total of 577 (10%) of 5,932 cases.

Community Based Transmission

Three of the new cases have no identified risk factors.

On Monday, July 6, 2020, DHHS announced 21 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 5,914 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Of those with complete information, there are two individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 85% being female and 15% being male. The new cases reside in Belknap (3), Carroll (3), Rockingham (3), Coos (2), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (2), Merrimack (1), and Strafford (1) counties, and in the cities of Nashua (4) and Manchester (1). The county of residence is being determined for one new case.

Hospitalizations
