Governor Sununu announced the creation of the Stakeholder Advisory Board to provide the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery (GOFERR) with key insight on the needs across New Hampshire communities and private industries, and to provide recommendations on relief efforts.

A grant application was approved today for $600,000 submitted by the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, which ensures the availability of resources for victims of domestic and sexual violence during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

• $125,000 for immediate needs for victims of domestic and sexual violence
• $75,000 for emergency shelter funding for hotel stays
• $400,000 for expenses for crisis center operations

Under ‘Other Community-Based Essential Functions’ it states: Private and public recreational campgrounds or camping parks only for purposes of providing parcels of land rented for the placement of a tent or recreational vehicle

• Extra pay, expanded testing for front-line workers

The Governor, at a press conference today,  announced a Long-Term Care Stabilization Program to provide a weekly $300 stipend to front line workers at N.H. Medicaid-funded residential facilities and social service agencies through the end of June.

Qualifying organizations will be able to register tomorrow with HHS.

All increases in funding must be passed to the front-line employees

It’s estimated that 25,000 workers are eligible.

Concord, NH – Governor Chris Sununu issued Executive Order 2020-06 as part of the state’s efforts to respond to COVID-19.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, DHHS announced 73 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 1,091 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Of those with complete information, all are adults with 63% being female and 37% being male. The new cases reside in Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (21), Rockingham (20), Strafford (9), Belknap (2), Cheshire (2), Carroll (1), Merrimack (1), and Sullivan (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (8) and Nashua (8).

Hospitalizations

 

Eleven new hospitalized cases were identified today for a total of 163 (15%) of 1,091 cases.

Community Based Transmission

Sixteen of the new cases have no identified risk factors. Community-based transmission continues to increase in the State and has been identified in all counties with cases. Most of the remaining cases have either had travel to domestic or international locations or have had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.

DHHS has also announced four additional deaths related to COVID-19.
