NH will apply for a No Child Left Behind waiver

I am happy to see the NH Dept. of Education moving in this direction and I support their efforts. No Child Left Behind was a very good idea executed very poorly. The burden placed on teachers has hindered education and interfered with normal curriculum flow. Accountability rightfully should be kept at as local a level as possible. This is the right time to tell the federal government that we want our money back, and that we’ll take care of it ourselves.
