Thank a Veteran

ImageToday, I go to work, then go home to my house in the woods.  My dog will greet me, my children will be safe.  I’m just a regular guy, but despite that, I can not only criticize the government, but I can also be  part of it.  I’ll make a lot of small decisions today that we take for granted because we are free.  For each one of these things, big and small, I thank our veterans.  They are the ones who put on a uniform and announced to the world, if you want to infringe on Americans’ freedoms, you have to go through us.  My family and I thank our veterans.  Freedom isn’t free.  It is easy to forget that as we enjoy our holidays.  Go to Arlington National Cemetery some time.  It is truly a moving experience seeing the acres and acres of stones commemorating the lives of those who have sworn life and honor to protect us.  Remember what today is about and find a way to than a veteran.
