President Barack Obama has issued a proclamation ordering flags on all public buildings and grounds to half-staff for Peace Officers Memorial Day on Thursday, May 15, 2014, and Governor Hassan has directed that flags remain at half-staff in honor of fallen Brentwood Police Officer Steve Arkell through the day of his funeral.

Governor Hassan has also proclaimed May 15 through May 21, 2014, as Law Enforcement Memorial Week in the State of New Hampshire and directed flags to half-staff for the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Ceremony on Monday, May 19.
