CONCORD – Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement on the passing of New Hampton Firefighter/A-EMT Doug Clement, who passed away in the line of duty, and directed flags to half-staff on Sunday, June 19, through Tuesday, June 21:
“As a firefighter and EMT, Doug Clement demonstrated an unyielding commitment to his fellow citizens, to his community and to his state, representing what it means to be a public servant in New Hampshire. Doug
served the Granite State with dedication and bravery, oftentimes rushing into dangerous situations to protect the safety of his fellow citizens. The New Hampton community is better for his service, and Tom and I join Doug’s family and friends, the New Hampton community and people across the entire state in mourning his loss.”
