Preserving Historic District 11

District 11 is truly historic.  The towns of Acworth, Charlestown, Goshen, Langdon, Lempster, and Washington are rich in preserved history.  We have some of the oldest meeting houses, Grange halls, and historic sites.  Love of preserving historical buildings and artefacts is one thing that we all share.  If you want to learn more about how this is done, and what the available help is, please attend this workshop in Acworth.

On August 20th at 6:00 PM, the UVLSRPC will co-host a workshop with the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance to discuss the historic preservation mechanisms that communities can incorporate into local master plans, land use ordinances, and tax relief programs. The workshop will be held at the Acworth Town Hall, 13 Town Hall Road, Acworth, NH 03601. I would encourage Heritage Commission members, Planning Board members, Selectboard members, municipal staff, and interested citizens from any community in the region to attend. There is no charge for the workshop.
