Temporary Bridge Closure on Route 10 in Lempster

If you are in Goshen, and want to buzz down Route 10 to Lempster, you can’t get there from here. From NHDOT:

Repairs are estimated to take 7-10 days.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the emergency closure of NH Route 10 in Lempster, New Hampshire, effective immediately. 

Recent bridge inspection has detected compromised structural integrity that requires immediate attention.  NH Route 10 is now closed at the subject bridge over Giles Brook, approximately 1.6 miles south of the intersection with NH Route 31 in Goshen and approximately 3.4 miles north of the intersection with Mountain Road and the 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike in Lempster.

While the bridge is closed, a signed detour will be in place.  The detour will direct motorists to use 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike, Unity Springs Road, Unity Road, and NH Route 11/NH Route 103.  Signs and changeable message boards will be placed to advise local traffic of the detour. 

Motorists are asked to follow all posted signs and to obey all traffic laws.
