Here are the numbers from one year ago today:

We are not doing great here in Sullivan County. This is not the time to be complacent. Please do take precautions. Please do wash your hands often. If you attend a large gathering, make sure it is necessary or important. If you feel symptoms or had a contact with someone sick, get tested. Follow these guidelines:

Vaccines

Whether to be vaccinated has unfortunately become an impossible public conversation. Arm chair quarterbacks, self styled health “experts” (because they read something on the internet), and politicians are all giving conflicting advice and claim their own positions as “facts”. Here is what you should do:

Stop listening to all of them. Our opinions don’t matter. We (and they) don’t know a thing about you. We’re also not qualified to give you health treatment advice.

Start talking to your own doctor. That is the person you trust to give you advice. They are qualified. They know you and your medical condition and history. Ask them if you should get vaccinated. Don’t ask me. Don’t ask the Governor. Don’t ask your neighbor. Don’t ask someone on Facebook. Ask the only qualified source, your doctor.
